A year or so ago I mentioned Melanie Reid on this comm. She's a journalist, now tetraplegic after an accident. Somebody has just reminded me about Ms Reid and I've found this link to an interview with her.

I've been feeling like a bit of a twerp, writing so earnestly about a television soap (Emmerdale) but right on cue, I've just discovered Melanie Reid. This lady is a real person with spinal injury and she's also a journalist, so she writes far better than I do!
